Rod Slaughter Rod Slaughter is a former professional in commercial banking with over 10 years of exerience in the Treasury tvlanagement and small business lending field. Currently working at the City of Flint as a program mlanager where he specializes in working with small businesses and non-profits to analyze and
distribute governmental contracts issued with HUD funds (cDBG, HoME,
ESG) for neighborhood devetopment and affordable housing projects.

Rod has an extensive background of working in the Public Housing Authority
(PHA) industry where he has developed an extensive portfolio for goinE into
troubled PHAs and helping them recover financially and statistically to assist
their housing authority in moving back into standard or high performing status.
He has over 15 years in this profession as an Executive Director, Director of
Development (modernization), homeownership counseling, and Housing
Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist training.

Rod has studied at Western Michigan University, University of Michigan-Flint
& Central Michigan University where he received degrees in Finance,
Operations Management & Public Administration. He is very proud of being
selected for participating in the Harvard study where they focused on public
Housing development where they focused on the Hope vl & choice
Neighborhood grant development. He also serves on ELGA Credit Union
Board of Directors. He looks forward to providing leadership that takes
everyone he touches to the next level.
